Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of Snape. I think the lyrics are quite melancholy.

I thought his love for Lily was very beautiful and bittersweet, one of the more delicate elements of the story. It also showed he wasn't totally an aloof bastard.

To put it in a cheesy poetic way, his inner feelings were like a flower of spring emerging from a bed of winter's frost. :iconimhappyplz:

I can't believe I just typed that.

Anyway, this picture took me a long time to colour, primarily because of procrastination. It was also hard to colour because the original sketch was done in a feathery style.

Many thanks to :iconayyu: for helping me with the shooting stars and telling me off whenever I started wangsting about how I was neeeeeeever gonna get it right and how haaaaaard Photoshop was. ^^;

Aww... Snape is simply the most awesome character in the whole Harry Potter-verse. That's actually a rather appropriate song for him too...

Kind of wish that Lily hadn't been such a prat, that I do. I shake my head at her.

Either way, pretty picture. I love the aurora borealis effect you've got going!

Oh, he totally is! He's my favorite character ever.

I think Lily's attitude towards him is a bit justified though, he was a douchebag to her. =P

No problem ^^ Aye, I decided that Snape was the best character after reading Philosopher's Stone for the first time... suitably evil but not; 'tis a good combination.

Yeah, I suppose, but then again, he's a jerk towards everyone - that's all part of the charm... or something like it. Or whatever it is that Snape passes off as charm. At least he was sorry about it though. Kind of, maybe?

One thing I wonder, why would his patronus be a doe? He didn't know about James' animagus form, which is the only logical reason for it. And even if he did, it would suggest feelings for James. Hmmm.

Lily is well-drawn, and so is doe. Song name/artist pls?

I think it was more symbolic, story-wise. Otherwise her spiritual animal was a does, and it materialised in the form of Snape's Patronus. I dunno.
